Jindai-Ji Temple (05 Feb 2005)
Jindai-Ji Temple is located on the western outskirts of Tokyo. It was founded in 733 A.D.-- it has longer than 1,200 years history and the second oldest temple in Tokyo. Along the approach road to the main gate, there are many Soba (Japanese traditional noodle) restaurants and souvenir shops. The temple itself is not so big-- but it is a very quiet zone in Tokyo.

Buildings are less attractive for photographers-- rather, interesting objects could be found in souvenir ships and restaurants.

Soft cream is always sold anywhere in the world... The doll and poster were pretty.

This is my favorite. A cafe-like souvenir shop was selling traditional skewered dumplings with brown sauce. This scene must have been unchanged for hundreds of years, I think...
